Arrival in Lisbon and private transfer to hotel.  In the afternoon, Half Day City Tour, with our certificated Guide will pick you up from the hotel and show you to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The tour will start on the main hill of Lisbon, where you will find St. George Castle with its surrounding quarter and Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest quarter. We will visit also the traditional commerce zones of the city, with their 18th-century buildings: the Downtown and the Chiado. Our tour includes all the best that Lisbon has to show.

Today your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and you will visit the World Heritage Site of Sintra where hundreds of years of history and culture await you. Driving around the mountain you will pass by amazing Royal Palaces, Chalets and Aristocratic residences in the most incredible combination of architectural styles, colours, and shapes that you will find in Portugal. We will now visit the emblematic Quinta da Regaleira. Lunch (not included) in the fishing town of Cascais (taste our famous “fish cooked in salt”).  In the afternoon taste Colares’ unique wines.

Hotel check-out and departure towards Évora.  Lunch (not included) in a traditional local restaurant and in the afternoon guided visit of the city.  We will walk in its historical centre and “feel” the atmosphere of this town. After reaching the walled city you’ll see the enigmatic church of St. Francis and its  Chapel of the Bones. Continuing up the narrow streets of the old town you’ll find the  Giraldo square where the Inquisition once had its headquarters. You will also have time to explore the millennium-old  Roman Temple and have a glimpse at the  12th-century cathedral.  We will finish the day with a visit to a Winery and Cellar with a wine pairing.

In the morning visit the medieval town of Monsaraz, followed by a visit, wine tasting and lunch (not included) in one of the best wineries of Alentejo. Return to Évora and have free time in the hotel to enjoy the facilities.

Hotel check-out and departure to Coimbra for a visit to this truly charming city is not only one of the most ancient university towns in the world but also one of the most harmonious sets of buildings in Portugal. Tonight you will be staying in Coimbra, the city where the love legend of Prince Pedro and the fair Inês de Castro happen.  Accommodation in Coimbra.

We’ll then proceed to Douro Valley and visit Quinta da Pacheca (or similar according to availability) wine estate for a visit, wine tasting and lunch.  After lunch private transfer to your hotel for a relaxing end of the afternoon.

Morning for relaxation and personal activities. In the afternoon we will board a Douro Valley Cruise. This will be a fabulous cruise to discover the Douro Valley from the best possible perspective. On the way back to the hotel we will do a wine tasting at  Douro Valley Winery and Vineyards.

Day to visit the Minho region, where you will taste some Vinho Verde (Green Wine) and visit the winery.  After the visit, we will proceed towards the birthplace of the Portuguese Nation –  the city of Guimarães, which was the first capital of Portugal, chosen by our first king Dom Afonso Henriques. Here, we will have free time for Lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we will have a walking tour visiting the historical centre of Guimaraes which UNESCO consider this town as a  World Heritage Site. Arrival at Porto in the afternoon. In the historical city centre, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, you will have more than enough time to explore Lello Library, where Harry Potter books and movies were inspired. The Gold Church of São Francisco and right next door you’ll find the Stock Exchange Palace with incredible granite work and magnificent neo-Arab influences. We will finish this tour right in front of the river where you can admire the D. Luis bridge and all of the Port Wine lodges that brought fame and fortune to the city. Visit and tasting to one of the best Port Wine cellars.

Tonight we will finish those unforgettable holidays with a Farewell Gourmet dinner in a 1 Start Michelin Restaurant in Porto.
